Mount Abu

Mount Abu is a green hill resort in the desert land of Rajasthan. It is in fact a green oasis in the barren desert scape of Rajasthan. Situated in the southern tip of the Aravalli Hill Mount Abu owns a cool climate and beautiful land scape.

It is also an important pilgrim centre of Rajput and jain. It is also a land of great saints and priests. Dilwara Jain Temple : It is an excellent piece of work of white marble. The location of the temple is very much exotic, it is in a mongo grove. The architecture of the temple is very much brilliant it is profusely curved. This temple is an extra ordinary place to visit not only for the Jain pilgrims but also for the other tourists. Dilwara temple is dedicated to Jain Tirthankaras.

Arbuda Devi Temple : Another wonderful temple of Mount abu is Arbuda Devi Temple. It is the abode of Arbuda Devi located at the hill top. There are 200 steps to reach the temple. It is believed that the Devi lends her name to Mount Abu.

Guru Shikhar : It is an important pilgrimage centre for the Vaishnavaites. Dedicated to Datta-traya, a incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Brahmakhadd Temple : Dedicated to Lord shiva, it is really set apart from rest of the temples because of its intrinsic manual works all over. Inside the temple there is a pit, believed to have been created by Lord Shiva's foot.

Nakki Lake : Apart from all these temples the Nakki Lake of Mount Abu is very famous which believed to be dug out by the nails of the saints. In fact the town forms an amphitheater around the lake.

It is an excellent place for boating and romantic place for the honeymoon couples. Interesting places near Nakki Lake are Toad Rock, Nun Rock, Nandi Rock and Camel Rock. It is also guarded by lavish summer houses, and maharaja of Jaipur's former summer palace is elevated on a hill onlooking the water.

Sun set Point is another major attractions of Mount Abu. Excellent sight of the setting sun can be enjoyed from here. The mountain ranges with the glowing sun look excellent.

Summer Festivals: Summer festival in the month of June is another tourist attractions in Mount Abu. The cool atmosphere of the place along with music and dance form a perfect back ground for an ideal holiday. There are amazing folk performances particularly of the Bhil tribes of the region are worth watching.

The City of Lakes Nainital in Uttrakhand

Nainital, known as the lake district of Uttrakhand is one of the finest place for holiday in northern part of India. The lake city is one of the most fascinating hill stations in the country.
