Today's    Google    doodle    is celebrating    the    108th    birthday    of    Tyrus    Wong,    an American artist born in China         American         He    was    remembered    for              various         well-known    images    in    the    pop culture of America.              As    one    of    the    most    celebrated    and    influential    20th century asian american artist wong is known for his work on a 1942 Disney film bambi where he was recognised as lead production illustrator.                                                                                                        Tyrus    Wong    had    inspiration    from    Song    dynasty    classical    Chinese    paintings.                                                                                                           
Tyrus    Wong    was    born    Wong    Gen    Yeo,                        southern    China's    Guangdong village    Province    on    25th October         1910    At the age of               10-years     Tyrus    and    his    father    came    to    America,    and    there lived    in    Sacramento,    before    finally    settling    in    Los    Angeles.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               
The    Google    doodle    also    displays    how    Tyrus    Wong's    love    for    art    grew at    an    early    age    and this was    recognized    by    his    father,    who    was able to      only    afford    for    Wong    to    practice    calligraphy    using    newspaper    and    water    and              study    Chinese    art    at    the    Central Library in Los Angeles.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          
As a junior in high school Tyrus Wong earned a scholoarship                                                            in    the    Otis    Art    institute.    Wong    begin supporting              himself    as    a    waiter    in    Chinatown.    Tyrus    Wong's    work    was    displayed    at    Chicago Art Institute in 1932                                     with    the    works    of    Matisse, Picasso and             Paul    Klee.

Mount Abu

Mount Abu is a green hill resort in the desert land of Rajasthan. It is in fact a green oasis in the barren desert scape of Rajasthan. Situated in the southern tip of the Aravalli Hill Mount Abu owns a cool climate and beautiful land scape.

It is also an important pilgrim centre of Rajput and jain. It is also a land of great saints and priests. Mount Abu is well known for Dilwara Temples, archaeological remains, interesting picnic spots and treks. Mount Abu is a historical place with immense tourist interest. It should mention here that according to the Hindu Mythology, Sage Vashistha performed the great Yagna at Mount Abu.

Famous Attractions

No trip to Mount Abu is completed with out the visit to the temples here. The famous temples here are :

Dilwara Jain Temple : It is an excellent piece of work of white marble. The location of the temple is very much exotic, it is in a mongo grove. The architecture of the temple is very much brilliant it is profusely curved. This temple is an extra ordinary place to visit not only for the Jain pilgrims but also for the other tourists. Dilwara temple is dedicated to Jain Tirthankaras.

Arbuda Devi Temple : Another wonderful temple of Mount abu is Arbuda Devi Temple. It is the abode of Arbuda Devi located at the hill top. There are 200 steps to reach the temple. It is believed that the Devi lends her name to Mount Abu.

Guru Shikhar : It is an important pilgrimage centre for the Vaishnavaites. Dedicated to Datta-traya, a incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Brahmakhadd Temple : Dedicated to Lord shiva, it is really set apart from rest of the temples because of its intrinsic manual works all over. Inside the temple there is a pit, believed to have been created by Lord Shiva's foot.

Nakki Lake : Apart from all these temples the Nakki Lake of Mount Abu is very famous which believed to be dug out by the nails of the saints. In fact the town forms an amphitheater around the lake.

It is an excellent place for boating and romantic place for the honeymoon couples. Interesting places near Nakki Lake are Toad Rock, Nun Rock, Nandi Rock and Camel Rock. It is also guarded by lavish summer houses, and maharaja of Jaipur's former summer palace is elevated on a hill onlooking the water.

Sun set Point is another major attractions of Mount Abu. Excellent sight of the setting sun can be enjoyed from here. The mountain ranges with the glowing sun look excellent.

Summer Festivals: Summer festival in the month of June is another tourist attractions in Mount Abu. The cool atmosphere of the place along with music and dance form a perfect back ground for an ideal holiday. There are amazing folk performances particularly of the Bhil tribes of the region are worth watching.

The City of Lakes Nainital in Uttrakhand

Nainital, known as the lake district of Uttrakhand is one of the finest place for holiday in northern part of India. The lake city is one of the most fascinating hill stations in the country. Tiffin Top: The place for the light meal is located on the high Ayarpatta hill presents the panoramic view of Nainital. This place was built as a memorial of an English artist by her husband.

Snow View Point: This point is located on the high altitude of 2270 meters but easily reachable by the cable car. Within the time of 10:00 am to 05:00 pm, this point offers scenic view of high Himalaya that includes Nanda Devi, Trishul and Nanda Kot. October and November are the best months of the year to view the mountains.

Pantnagar is the nearest airport situated at a distance of 71 kilometers from Nainital. This is well connected to Indira Gandhi International Airport of New Delhi. Nearest railway station Kathgodam is situated at a distance of 40 kilometers from Nainital. Kathgodam is directly connected to Delhi and Lucknow by the network of Indian Railways. Nainital is also well connected by road buses and taxis are easily available to Delhi, Almora, Ranikhet and Badrinath.
